      No thankfully! There’s no uniform for a PhD student, and we all dress quite differently in UCD Physics!

      Not for the kind of engineering I do. I use ordinary clothes.
      Some engineers do have to wear special clothes for some jobs.
      For example, engineers involved in making electronic chips wear special covers over their clothes to keep in any dust or hairs, which could damage the process of making the chips.
